Editor, Final Cut

Sophie Solomon is a native New Yorker who has been at Final Cut since 2015 and was promoted to the roster of editors in 2021. Known for a certain campy aesthetic, combined with unwavering authenticity, Sophie crafts narratives that feel effortless and modern. Her body of work includes projects for global brands such as Volkswagen, Google, Etsy, Ikea, Zoom, Smirnoff, Target, Kenzo, Comcast, NFL, Lincoln and GE. 

She worked alongside Jim Helton to edit the internationally acclaimed New York Times campaign, “The Truth is Worth It,” which was awarded a Clio Gold, a Black Pencil at D&AD and Best of Show at the One Club Annual ADC Awards, among many other accolades. Her work has earned her an award for Best Editing at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival and a Telly, for the short film “Don't Go Back To Sleep.” 

Telling stories and the shared experience of creation have always been her main motivators. She has an intense and abiding love of RomComs, a genre that speaks to her love for human connection.
