Casting Director, Mark Summers Casting
Louise, aka Lou, has been working as a casting director at renowned casting company ‘Mark Summers Casting’ for 19 years this February.
Lou started in the industry as a child performer and later moved behind the camera into artist management and then the world of casting.
Lou has been lucky enough to cast projects all over the world for incredible producers and directors, giving her the opportunity to source all types of talent. Recently in a worldwide search, she cast all the sporting stunt performers for the current Samsung Beijing Olympic commercial for directors ‘Alaska’.
One of her favourite jobs of 2021 was casting inspiring kids for the UK/European part of ‘The Climate Pledge’ campaign for director Melina Matsouka. The project is to support the development of sustainable and decarbonizing technologies and services.
Lou is direct, but compassionate and has only pure admiration for all the real people she has cast. She says, ‘it takes real courage to attend a casting - even seasoned professionals find them daunting at times.’
Louise is from Essex, with Texas as her second home, totally loves country music and is a dog-mum to Lottie & Lola.
