Jared began his career in wealth management at UBS Financial Services, but quickly realised his interests were more aligned with the worlds of entertainment and marketing.
After completing his MBA at UCLA - Anderson School of Management, Jared went on to work at Mattel, the largest toy company in the world. Here he honed his branding and marketing skills on staple brands such as Hot Wheels and Matchbox, and managed the launch of an extensive product line supporting Warner Bros third instalment of the Batman franchise, The Dark Knight Rises.
In three years time Jared was recruited by Creative Artists Agency as an Executive in the Entertainment Marketing Group. Here he led entertainment strategy, talent relations and content development for clients such as Coca-Cola, Southwest Airlines and Canada Goose.
In 2015, Jared joined ACE, Anomaly’s content studio as the Head of Client Services, overseeing a portfolio of client relationships including Marriott International, New Balance, Nespresso and Nestle Waters. At ACE, Jared and his team developed and implemented innovative content strategies with outputs ranging from publishing to social/digital content and original long-form broadcast television series.
Earlier this year, Jared partnered with industry veterans David Gordon Green and John Sloss to launch Brand New Story, a joint venture between Rough House Pictures and Cinetic Media. In this position Jared works with brands to invest in feature film and television projects that align with their ethos and values, rather than prioritising product placement first.
This new model, a true partnership between brand and storyteller, offers the brand new revenue opportunities and deeper connections with consumers through the development of a complete marketing ecosystem surrounding the content that serves to build brand association. And for storytellers, this type of brand partnership offers new ways to structure the finance and exhibition of their work, ensuring it reaches the most receptive audiences.
While not in his office, Jared can be found indulging in the latest food trends or traveling the world with his husband.
