CathleenKisich

Managing Director, Knucklehead LA

Cathleen Kisich's path was an unorthodox one. She fell into advertising accidentally - when a friend of a relative got her a job as the receptionist at Citron Haligman Bedecarré in San Francisco. Fresh out of earning a degree in Global Economics and studying abroad in Mexico, Cathleen stepped into the agency world just as the dot-com boom was beginning in the bay area.

And it was lucky timing indeed, it was during that dot com boom that Cathleen found her footing in the advertising world and quickly landed herself a Producer gig at the agency. After Citron turned into AKQA, Cathleen’s curiosity for the production side peeked so she packed her bags and headed south to work at Gartner Films. She eventually went back to her agency roots and spend the next four years at Riney followed by a pivotal four years at Goodby Silverstein and Partners, which ultimately led her back into the production side of things after a very successful Sprint shoot with director Peter Farrelly.

It was on that job that Cathleen met the crew at Caviar and as fate would have it, she was offered the job at the production company and the rest was history. After 4 years of working with some of the industry’s leading comedy and visual talent and helping guide the careers of some of the most prolific film and television directors in the field, Cathleen got the call to open the US office of the well-respected UK production company, Knucklehead. Under her leadership, the US office has grown exponentially and continues to garner awards and accolades, including recognition as Production Company to Watch at the coveted Creativity Awards in 2018.

Cathleen lives in LA with her husband, five-year-old son and her Pit Bull, Big Lou.
