Head of Production for Creative Experiences, Meta

Joyce Chen is the Head of Production for Creative Experiences at Meta where she oversees global integrated campaigns for WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, Facebook and Meta. As part of her role she also oversees all external agency partnerships for the family of apps.

With 18 years of experience in commercial production, prior to Meta Chen most recently served as the Director of Integrated Production at Heat, which she joined when Deloitte Digital acquired the company. Before Heat, Chen led global integrated campaigns at agencies including McCann Worldgroup, Venables Bell & Partners and Modernista! for clients like Google, Microsoft, Audi, Xbox and Cadillac.

Outside of work Chen co-directed a documentary short film called “Refugee” which was released on Amazon Prime in 2018. The doc tells the story of Aicha Niang, a West African refugee who fled to the US to escape conflict and had to leave her children behind. “Refugee” won Best Documentary Short 8 times during its international festival season and was a 2 time qualifier for the Academy Awards.

Chen is also a certified Executive Coach, and started a leadership course at Meta based on the book “The 15 Commitments of Conscious Leadership” after training with Jim Dethmer and Diana Chapman. Now in its fourth year, the course is open to all of Consumer Marketing.
