Editor / Founder, Final Cut

Rick started his career with a short spell in production before joining The Film Editors in 1989. After a few years assisting and working as a freelance editor, Rick founded Final Cut in London in 1995 before subsequently setting up offices in both New York and Los Angeles. 

His work speaks for itself and his wide catalogue includes high profile brands such as John Lewis, Guinness, Audi and Axe whilst editing with prolific directors including Traktor, Nicolai Fugslig, Tim Godsall, Malcolm Venville, Juan Cabral and Dougal Wilson to name a few. 

Rick won a Gold Lion for Film Craft Editing at Cannes Lion Film Craft for Apple “Barbers”. Rick has also edited three feature films, most notably ‘Mandela - Long Walk to Freedom’ starring Idris Elba. More recently he has dipped his toe into serial drama, editing episodes of ‘Tin Star’ for Sky and ‘Becoming Elizabeth’ for StarzPlay, directed by Justin Chadwick.
