Creative Producer

Brazilian born but raised globally, Manoela Chiabai is a creative producer who brings passion, cultural sensitivity, and a love for photography to her slate of projects. Due to her unrivalled energy, she and GQ’s in-house production team innovated amidst a global pandemic to create a star-studded awards ceremony featuring short documentaries with names such as Michaela Coel, Lewis Hamilton, Marcus Rashford and more.

Within the commercial realm, Chiabai aims to support authentic storytelling culminating in campaigns for Guinness in Lagos, Tofoo with an advert on Channel 4, and a takeover of the VANS stores and social media all over Europe. Alongside this, she has worked on music videos for Black Midi, Sudan Archives, Stormzy, Ed Sheeran, Olly Alexander, and Sons of Raphael, with whom she has an ongoing collaboration.

Chiabai has worked across the globe on a variety of short and long forms. Most recently, she executive produced the short documentary “Como Você” which portrays the underground Brazilian Grime scene, commissioned by WePresent and is currently in the process of finishing a short documentary with her long time collaborator, Jade Ang Jackman, shot in Mexico and the UK. This year she co-founded Masa Pictures, a boutique production company with producer and friend Sarah Tognazzi, building an international slate of short films, content and long form projects.
