Olly Williams is not to be missed. Whether it be the best groomed moustache in the game, or the weird and wonderful world he helps design and direct, he is a director that should be on everybody’s radar.
Olly brings something different to the Merman roster with his keen eye for design, distinctive visual and narrative styles, often imbued with a subtle sense of humour. In his directing career he has worked on campaigns for 118, Go Compare, Doritos, O2 and most recently Suzuki, showcasing a Willy Wonk worthy car factory, matched in its bonkers nature with Olly’s diehard enthusiasm and energy into achieving its execution even against the odds.
Most recently Olly both directed and designed a truly mad world of car brilliance and sheer madness for Suzuki with IRIS. It showcased everything Olly is about - creativity, innovation, and unparalleled design. It received plaudits left, right and centre and was a FIVE STAR Pick of the Day from David Reviews.
As a production designer Olly is one of the most sought after and imaginative in the industry. He has crafted world and environments for MoneySuperMarket, Virgin Trains, Starling Bank, iHop, Barclaycard and many more.
He thrives when the odds are stacked against him and the creative in the script knows no bounds. He is an absolute joy to work alongside, a truly charming individual and a team player to the core.
