James has over 20 years experience in the advertising industry.
In the late 90’s, he spent 5 years working at TBWA, then one of London’s leading agencies , before branching into production. He spent 3 years learning the ropes in South Africa, then moved back to London to set down roots at the UK’s no1 commercial production company at the time, Academy Films. During his time there his work was recognised with a series of prestigious industry awards including Cannes Lions and D&AD design awards.
A year as EP at Stink London, was followed by a move to Los Angeles in 2015 tohelp launch Stink’s US office, where he stayed until the creation of Object & Animal in 2018 - he is one of O&A’s four founding partners.
In its first year of business, Object & Animal was named ‘Production Company to Watch for 2019’ and The UK Music Video Awards’ ‘Production Company of the Year’. Year 3 saw the company hit Adage’s A List of the Top 10 Production Companies in the USA.
