Cinematographer
Igor was born in Chile. He completed his filmmaking studies at the London Film School, in the UK. Following this, he established himself as a DOP in London shooting music videos, commercials and feature Films.
In 1996 he started working with Hammer and Tongs, collaborating on many music videos and commercials between ‘96-2001, including “Theme from Gutbuster” which won the Best International Video of the Year (2000) and BLUR’s “Coffee & TV” which won the Creative & Art Award for Best Cinematography in a Music Video, both directed by Garth Jennings.
Igor’s career in movies whilst in Europe include “The Low Down”, shot in London (for which he was nominated for Best Newcomer -offscreen- for Cinematography by the British Independent Film Awards in October, 2000), “Disco Pigs”, shot in Ireland for Kerstin Sheridan and in 2004, “The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" for Garth Jennings and producer Nick Goldsmith.
In the US he has teamed up with directors Lisa Cholodenko on “The Kids Are All Right”, and Rodrigo Garcia, filming pilots and movies including “Bull”, “Delirium”, “Passengers”, “Four Good Days” and “Raymond and Ray”.
