Abdi Ibrahim (b. 1996)

is a Somali-American director and photographer based in Los Angeles and New York.

His work is rooted in surrealism, capturing dreamlike portraits of his subjects and exploring the mundanity of everyday life through abstraction.

Ibrahim has commissioned work featured in publications such as The New Yorker, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanity Fair, Esquire, and more, as well as select projects for the Brooklyn Nets.

He is also a director, having completed commercial work for brands including Lacoste, Apple Music, the NFL, and others.

Ibrahim is currently signed with Melina Matsoukas’ De La Revolución Films for photography.
