Creative Developments Producer, Blue-Zoo Animation Studio
Katie has been working in the UK animation industry for 6+ years, currently working as a Creative Development Producer at Blue Zoo Animation Studio. She develops and pitches new and exciting IP for a wide variety of audiences and genres, including Mojo Swoptops, a brand new preschool series launching on CBeebies at the beginning of October 2024. She is also a children’s picture book author and illustrator, releasing her first book titled ‘This Animal’ earlier in 2024, based on a family game from her childhood. In 2019, she had her first experience in a directing role, after winning the blind pitch in the Blue Zoo Christmas shorts programme, going on to direct the 2D Animated music video for the Christmas single ‘Let’s Not Go Away’ by British pop rock band, Scouting For Girls. Katie loves and prioritises distinctive characters and clear storytelling above all else in her creative endeavors… except for maybe karaoke.
