Born in 1966 to Italian/English parents Julian grew up until the age of 10 in Senegal, Sweden and India.
His family returned to England where he completed his schooling.
After studying painting at Liverpool Art School in the late 80’s he lived for three years in Southern Spain. With several years experience in stage lighting and design as well as shooting for performance art groups he “joined” the film industry in the lighting department.
Over the last 30 years he has been Chief Lighting Technician on 30+ feature films and countless commercials.
