KoIwagami

Casting Director & Producer

Since childhood, Ko Iwagami had always dreamed of working in the Hollywood film industry, which eventually propelled him to move to the United States all by himself at the mere age of 15. While in the US, he began helping behind-the-camera works in productions for films such as "Due Date," "The Avengers," and "The Wolverine."

In 2015, after returning to Tokyo to focus his career on casting, Ko established KAIJU INC. to fulfill his mission to showcase Japanese talent on the global stage. His casting works ranged from global Ad Campaigns for major brands to numerous TV series and Feature Films, both domestic and international. His presence on the international stage has grown to the point The Hollywood Reporter has described him as "a bridge between the worlds that transcends existing frameworks."

His impressive portfolio includes work on TOKYO VICE (HBO MAX) and the Artios Awards nominated series PACHINKO (Apple TV+). In 2022, he became an official member of the Casting Society of America. During the same year, he started working for Amazon Studios as the Head of Casting Japan overseeing casting for Prime Video. In June 2024, he finished his tenure at Amazon Studios and returned to KAIJU INC. to continue his mission of bringing Japanese talent to the global stage.
