Senior Editor, Ambassadors New York

Meghan Sims is an award-winning editor seeking to close the gap between fiction and non-fiction, and with over 10 years experience across commercial and documentary filmmaking.

Meghan kicked off her career working at VICE in its early days of expanding into a multimedia production company and agency. While there, she worked on what became the Emmy-winning HBO investigative news series and feature documentary ‘The Ride’, which showed at MoMA and SXSW Film Festival in 2010.

In 2012, Meghan led the digital film campaign for New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s ‘Mayors Against Illegal Guns’ coalition, cutting more than 40 portraits of gun violence survivors. That same year, her short film, ‘We Do Too’, won Best Documentary at the Brooklyn Arts Council’s ‘Scene: Brooklyn’ film showcase.

Her feature film credits include assistant editing on BIG STAR: Nothing Can Hurt Me (Official Selection, 2012 SXSW Film Festival, distributed by Magnolia Pictures) and Tickling Giants (Official Selection, 2016 TriBeCa Film Festival). More recently, Meghan assisted Academy Award-winning director Laura Poitras (Citizenfour) and editor Melody London (Stranger Than Paradise) on RISK, a film about Wikileaks and its founder Julian Assange, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival Directors’ Fortnight in 2016.

Meghan has built on her creative and commercial success with brands such as eBay, Budweiser and Burberry to bolster Ambassadors’ East Coast editing offering. Since joining the creative production studio in 2018, she has worked across several Adidas projects and alongside Wieden+Kennedy to edit a six-part series for S7 Airlines, which has since received over 35M YouTube views.
